How has India's economic position changed over the past decade according to Rajeev Chandrashekhar?

Speaking at a meeting called 'Viksit Bharat Ambassador Meet' in Pune, Rajeev Chandrashekhar, who is a Minister in charge of technology in India, said something important. He mentioned that in the last ten years, India has improved a lot and now it's the fifth biggest economy in the world.

He also talked about progress in the semiconductor sector. In the last two years, the government got proposals for investments worth Rs 2.50 lakh crore from big companies that make computer chips. This is good news for India.

Chandrashekhar mentioned that India is becoming an example for other countries because of its fair policies. The government wants to keep improving things and the Prime Minister has a goal for India to become 'Viksit Bharat'.

In 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a policy about semiconductors. This got a lot of attention from around the world. Now, many big semiconductor companies are interested in investing in India. Just two years ago, India wasn't even seen as an important part of the semiconductor industry.

From Theory to Practice

Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) is essential but often leaves a gap between theory and real-world results.

My portfolio design advisory services aim to bridge this implementation gap.

Investors use these services in two main ways:

  • Asset class/sub-group level (e.g., Equities, Growth Portfolio, Absolute Return Portfolio), often tied to manager selection.
  • Granular portfolio design with SAA review, aligning top-level allocation with detailed structuring.
Mode Best For Outcome
Asset Class Level Refining a specific sleeve such as Equities or Absolute Return. Clear mandate design and manager selection alignment.
Granular + SAA Review Top-down to bottom-up consistency across the whole portfolio. Integrated structure that links strategic targets to implementable building blocks.
